Assessment
Our service is designed to be practical and promote independence to people with a disability. Our staff work on the principle of respect, pragmatism, support, sensitivity and efficiency.
Disability Professionals provide a practical assessment service as part of a team for a person's individual program plan. Assessments include functional assessments, manual-handling requirements, developing and implementing health care plans, re-skilling carers, and may include updating manual handling skills, infection control knowledge and general occupational health and safety. These services are designed to meet the needs of the clients. and are provided by a competent and professional team.
Disability Professionals are sensitive to the nature of assessments. Our team of dedicated and experienced staff are skilled in providing accurate, accessible and caring assessments of an individual's functional requirements.
We can conduct the assessment wherever is most appropriate and have a team of occupational therapists, nurses, physiotherapists and other specialist staff who can complete your assessments in a timely manner.
With the assessment as our commencement point, we can then help develop an appropriate programme, which meets with an individual client's needs.
